Ante o avesío (Facing the Umbra)

Xaime Miranda (A Fonsagrada, Lugo, España, 19/10/1987). Licenciado en Comunicación Audiovisual por la USC y con un Máster en Dirección Cinematográfica por la ESCAC. Tiene una amplia experiencia en el mundo del videoclip, donde ha trabajado con numerosas bandas de la escena musical gallega como Xoel López, Heredeiros da Cruz o Boyanka Kostova. Sus vídeos han sido premiados en festivales como el Festival de Cans, el Ourense Film Festival y los Premios Mestre Mateo. En el ámbito de la ficción, realizó la serie de animación «Os Metarquivos» para la plataforma A Galega y el cortometraje «Hippocampus» (2024). «Ante o avesío» es su segundo cortometraje como director.

He has extensive experience in the world of music videos, where he has worked with numerous bands from the Galician music scene such as Xoel López, Heredeiros da Cruz and Boyanka Kostova. His videos have received awards at festivals such as the Cans Festival, the Ourense Film Festival and the Mestre Mateo Awards. In the field of fiction, he created the animated series “Os Metarquivos” for the A Galega platform and the short film “Hippocampus” (2024). “Facing the Umbra” is his second short film as a director.
