Antonio Oliete

Antonio Oliete (Zaragoza, España, 02/02/1984). Licenciado en ADE y movido por su amor al cine, amplió sus estudios con un máster en Marketing, Distribución y Ventas Cinematográficas y comenzó su carrera profesional en una agencia de ventas internacionales de largometrajes. En esa etapa de casi nueve años tuvo que recorrer mercados y festivales por el mundo. En todos ellos aprovechaba para ver películas que, sumadas a las que tenía que analizar para vender, fueron sembrando en él las ganas de dirigir. Después de ello, estudió el Máster de Dirección en la ESCAC. «La bici» es su primer trabajo como director.

Graduated in Business and motivated by his love to cinema, he strengthened his studies with a Masters Degree in Marketing, Distribution and Sales of Film. Later on he started a career as a long-feature sales agent. Over that 9-year stage he had to go to many film festivals and markets all over the world, and he took the opportunity to screen lots of films. In addition to those he had to work on in order to sell, all those screenings were motivating him little by little to direct. After that, he started a Masters Degree in Directing at ESCAC (Barcelona).“The bike” (original title “La bici”) is his first work as a director.
