Borja Larrondo (Madrid, España, 18/05/1987). Cineasta y fotógrafo licenciado en Comunicación Audiovisual por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. En 2012 asiste al Máster Internacional de Documentalismo y Narración en Efti y actualmente se encuentra cursando estudios de Antropología Social y Cultural por la UNED. Su trabajo se basa en la exploración de mundos narrativos-visuales, así como en el documentalismo experimental. Se centra en la idea del error y la memoria (real o imaginaria), traduce la ficción como parte de una escena de la realidad; un imaginario personal compuesto por sentimientos y emociones retratadas. Definido como un artista multidisciplinar, su obra e instalación nace del interés por la sociología y las narrativas antropológicas como parte de la cultura popular. Trabaja sobre la identidad, la psique y la capacidad perceptiva, cruda y decadente. Junto con Diego Sánchez forma el colectivo The Kids Are Right, un sello que nace para el desarrollo, la experimentación y la investigación a través de la imagen. «Volver» es su segundo cortometraje como director, después de «The road bad and the place dark» (2021).
