Christopher Cartagena (Elche, España, 30/08/1988) proviene de la ficción cinematográfica. Particularmente interesado en la narrativa, destaca la creación de atmósferas, la comedia y el trabajo con actores. Adorna todo ello con su gran gusto por la estética. Tras estudiar Guión y Dirección en Barcelona, compagina la ficción con publicidad y televisión. Sus cortometrajes «La Carrera» (2014) y «Bicho» (2018) obtuvieron varios premios y menciones internacionales en L.A., Camboya y Sitges. Christopher se siente cómodo con todo tipo de proyectos, y ha trabajado con marcas como Loewe, McDonald’s, Ron Barceló, Lotería Nacional, Iberostar o El País, entre otras. En 2024 rodó su primer largometraje, «Disforia». También es productor del cortometraje «Ángulo muerto», ganador del Goya 2026 a mejor cortometraje de ficción. «Una hora a la semana» es su tercer cortometraje como director.

After studying Screenwriting and Directing in Barcelona, he works in film, advertising, and TV. His short films “La carrera” (2014) and “Bicho” (2018) received several international awards and mentions in Los Angeles, Cambodia, and Sitges. Christopher is comfortable working across a wide range of projects and has collaborated with brands such as Loewe, McDonald’s, Ron Barceló, Lotería Nacional, Iberostar, and El País, among others. In 2024, he shot his first feature film, “Disforia”. He is also the producer of the short film “Dead Angle”, winner of the 2026 Goya Award for Best Fiction Short Film. “An hour a week” is his third short film as a director.
