Cris Arana (Caaguazú, Paraguay, 04/01/85) comenzó a escribir y dirigir cortometrajes en 2018 y en la actualidad trabaja en la escritura de lo que será su primer largometraje. «Emilio Barreto: ángeles y demonios» es su quinto cortometraje como directora y su primer documental, después de los cortos de ficción «Y agua en guaraní» (2022), «Transition» (2019), «Workingay» (2019) y «Package» (2018).
