An extraordinary journey through the world of illusionism. The investigation of an ancient book of magic will lead us into a discussion about the art of deceit, performed by some of the biggest characters in contemporary magic. A doorstep into the impossible.

Director

Laura Guerricaechevarría (Vitoria-Gasteiz, España, 28/07/1997) es directora y guionista vasca radicada entre Vitoria-Gasteiz y Madrid. Su obra se desarrolla dentro del género fantástico, con elementos recurrentes como la nostalgia y lo onírico, siempre en favor de una atmósfera de misterio. Después de los cortometrajes «L’au-delà» (2020), «An Immortal Weekend» (2021), «Holiday» (2022) y «Deja de hablarme» (2025), «El asombro» es su primer largometraje como directora.

Laura Guerricaechevarría (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, 07/28/1997) is a director and screenwriter based between Vitoria-Gasteiz and Madrid. Her work is focused on the development of the fantastic genre, with an enigmatic tone. After the short films “L’au-delà” (2020), “An Immortal Weekend” (2021), “Holiday” (2022) and “Deja de hablarme” (2025), “The astonishment” is her first feature-length film.
