El chico que lloraba sangre (The Boy Who Cried Blood)

Ares Sirvent (Xixona, Alicante, España, 24/02/1998) es director, guionista y productor. Estudió Cine y Medios de Producción en la London Metropolitan University y fue becado para continuar sus estudios en la Roosevelt University (EEUU), donde obtuvo matrícula de honor. Finalizó su formación en la Universidad de Copenhague (Dinamarca). Posteriormente realizó un Máster en Guion Cinematográfico en la ESCAC (Barcelona), así como un curso de estructura argumental impartido por el guionista y premio Goya Tomás Aragay. Más tarde se trasladó a Madrid, donde hizo el Máster en Dirección en la Escuela TAI. Su mediometraje «Frank» fue seleccionado y premiado por el público en el BFI Southbank como Mejor Mediometraje. Sus cortometrajes «Bichos» (2023) y «Asier» (2023) han sido seleccionados y premiados en festivales de todo el mundo. Su guion «Ephemeral» fue galardonado con el premio a Mejor Guion en el Geoff Posner Script Challenge. Además, fue seleccionado como talento emergente por los Javis en su productora Suma Content. Actualmente, Ares se dedica a la dirección y producción de proyectos audiovisuales. «El chico que lloraba sangre» es su tercer cortometraje como director.

Ares Sirvent (Xixona, Alicante, Spain, 02/24/1998) is a director, screenwriter, and producer. He studied Film and Media Production at the London Metropolitan University and was awarded a scholarship to continue his education at Roosevelt University (USA), where he graduated with honors. He completed his academic journey at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). He later pursued a Master’s Degree in Screenwriting at ESCAC in Barcelona and attended a story structure course taught by Goya Award-winning writer Tomás Aragay. In Madrid, he completed a Master’s in Directing at TAI Film School. His medium-length film “Frank” was selected and awarded the Audience Award for Best Medium-Length Film at the BFI Southbank. His short films “Bichos” (2023) and “Asier” (2023) were selected and awarded in festivals worldwide. His script “Ephemeral” won the award for Best Screenplay at the Geoff Posner Script Challenge, and he was selected as an emerging talent by Suma Content, the production company founded by Los Javis. Currently, Ares focuses on directing and producing audiovisual projects. “The Boy Who Cried Blood” is his third short film as a director.
