Intercambio (The Exchange)

Amaia Yoldi (Pamplona, España, 13/04/1973) ha estudiado Guion en la ECAM (2020) y en la EICTV y Dirección en los talleres «Filmando en Navarra» con Isabel Coixet (2021) y Oliver Laxe (2020). También ha sido seleccionada en la edición Autumn 2022 del Programa Eureka (Series Mania Institute) para el desarrollo de una serie de HBO Max con otros doce guionistas europeos. Ha sido guionista de desarrollo de series en la productora Federation Entertainment y actualmente se encuentra desarrollando el largometraje «Karesansui», seleccionado en varios talleres nacionales e internacionales, y las series «XYZ» y «Urrutia». Ha dirigido y escrito los cortometrajes «Aviones» (2022), «Y no quedarán ni los huesos» (2020), «Conejopolilla» (2020) y «¿Cuánto pesa un oso polar?» (2015), seleccionados y premiados en festivales de todo el mundo. «Intercambio» es su quinto cortometraje y ha recibido ayudas de las Comunidades de Madrid y Navarra en 2022, así como una mención especial del jurado en el concurso 2022 de Proyectos de Cortometrajes por los Derechos Humanos de Amnistía Internacional – Abycine. También ha formado parte de la selección de Queercinelab 2023.

In Autumn 2022, she was selected by the Eureka Program (Series Mania Institute) for the development of an HBO Max series along with other 12 European scriptwriters. Amaia has worked as a series development scriptwriter at Federation Entertainment. As an independent filmmaker, she is currently developing the feature film “Karesansui”, selected in several national and international workshops, and the TV series “XYZ” and “Urrutia”. She has written and directed the short films “Planes” (2022), “And Not Even The Bones Shall Remain” (2020), “TheRabbit-MothComplex” (2020) and “How Much Does A Polar Bear Weigh?” (2015), selected and awarded in festivals worldwide. “The Exchange” is her fifth short film and it has been supported financially by two Spanish regions (Madrid and Navarra) in 2022. It has also been awarded with a special mention from the jury in the 2022 competition of Human Rights Short Film Projects by Amnesty International – Abycine, and has been selected by Queercinelab in 2023.
