Sinopsis / Synopsis
A las puertas de la muerte, Rafael rememora su vida, marcada por la playa que lo vio crecer. El Mediterráneo se convierte en un símbolo constante de lo que dejó atrás al partir hacia Madrid y lo acompaña desde la luminosidad de la infancia hasta el declive de la vejez.
As he faces death, Rafael looks back on a life shaped by the beach where he grew up. The Mediterranean stands as a constant symbol of what he left behind when he moved to Madrid, accompanying him from the brightness of childhood to the twilight of old age.
Directora
Sara Ayala (Madrid, España, 23/02/2004) es una cineasta y artista visual novel que estudia animación en UDIT, Madrid. Su trabajo pretende resaltar la voz poética de lo anecdótico y cotidiano. «Marinero en Tierra» es su primer cortometraje como directora, una obra profundamente personal inspirada en los veranos que vivió de niña en Aguadulce (Almería) y en las anécdotas que le contaba su abuelo.
Sara Ayala (Madrid, Spain, 02/23/2004) is a filmmaker and visual artist currently studying animation at UDIT in Madrid. Her work seeks to reveal the poetic voice within the everyday and the ordinary. “Sailor Ashore” is her first short film as a director, a deeply personal work inspired by the summers she spent as a child in Aguadulce (Almería) and the stories told by her grandfather.
