Rocío Pérez

Rocío Pérez (Madrid, España, 16/07/1992) es una directora vertebrada por el teatro, el movimiento, la coreografía, la somática, la performance y la filosofía. Estudia el impacto fisiológico, conductual y social del sistema nervioso con Fajardo Method y entiende que el cambio social ocurre de manera fractal, ya que lo estructural nos atraviesa tanto íntima como globalmente. Formada en SITI Company Conservatory, SCOT, Estudio Corazza para el Actor, Carmen Senra, SNDO Intensives y en Filosofía en la UCM. Realiza la residencia artística SITI LAB. Es actriz y performer en diversos proyectos en España, USA y Chile, y facilita espacios de investigación para el movimiento. Asiste en el movimiento y cofunda La Extraña Compañía. Fue coach actoral en el cortometraje «8 de febrero» (Sara Martínez Sanz, 2023). «METTA» es su primer cortometraje como (co)directora.

Rocío Pérez (Madrid, Spain, 07/16/1992) is a director whose work is rooted in theatre, movement, choreography, somatics, performance, and philosophy. She studies the physiological, behavioral, and social impact of the nervous system through the Fajardo Method, understanding social change as a fractal process, where structural dynamics affect us both intimately and globally. She trained at the SITI Company Conservatory, SCOT, Estudio Corazza para el Actor, Carmen Senra, SNDO Intensives, and studied Philosophy at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). She completed the SITI LAB artistic residency. She works as an actress and performer in various projects across Spain, the USA, and Chile, and facilitates movement research spaces. She served as acting coach for the short film February 8th (Sara Martínez Sanz, 2023). She also works as a movement assistant and is a co-founder of La Extraña Compañía. “Metta” is her first short film as a (co-)director.
