Rubén Navarro

Rubén Navarro (Málaga, España, 21/08/1982) es un premiado director de cine residente en Los Ángeles. Su cortometraje «Of Hearts and Castles» ha sido seleccionado y premiado en festivales de todo el mundo, incluyendo competiciones calificadoras de los Óscars como Palm Springs Shortfest y Outfest LGBTQ Los Ángeles. Rubén es también un montador experimentado; ha editado la serie «East of La Brea» (estrenada en SXSW) y un episodio de la serie Acapulco de Apple TV, y actualmente está editando un largometraje español. Además, también ha formado parte del departamento de postproducción de empresas como Netflix o FOX. Es uno de los alumnos del prestigioso programa de cine Project Involve durante 2018 en la asociación Film Independent de EEUU. Actualmente está desarrollando el largometraje basado en su corto «Of Hearts and Castles». Ha dirigido los cortometrajes «I am», «Masaru» (2022), «Of Hearts and Castles» (2020), «In Tune With You» (2012) y «Monsters of the Night» (2015).

He is also a highly experienced editor, he edited the show “East of La Brea” (premiered at SXSW) and an episode of Acapulco (AppleTV), and he is currently editing a Spanish feature film. He has also worked in post-production for companies such as Netflix or FOX and is a 2018 Film Independent Project Involve Fellow. He is currently developing the feature film based on his short film “Of Hearts and Castles”. He has directed the short films “I am”, “Masaru” (2022), “Of Hearts and Castles” (2020), “In Tune With You” (2012) and “Monsters of the Night” (2015).
