Valèria Cuní (Barcelona, España, 30/01/2000). Graduada del Grado en Cinematografía en la Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Catalunya (ESCAC) y actualmente cursando el Máster de Dirección. Directora y guionista de cortometrajes en los que destacan niños y adolescentes protagonistas que se enfrentan a la pérdida de su inocencia. Es creadora de piezas experimentales y de videoarte galardonadas nacional e internacionalmente. «Niuada» es su quinto cortometraje como directora, después de «Petites Morts» (2022), «Pas A Dos» (2021), «El Milagro de Paula» (2020) y «Amada Amanda» (2019).
