Anssi Korhonen

Anssi Korhonen (Jyväskylä, Finlandia, 23/06/1984). Nacido y criado en la fría y oscura Finlandia, Anssi ha explorado múltiples campos artísticos hasta encontrar el apropiado para desarrollar su creatividad de forma plena. Ha dirigido más de 20 vídeos musicales donde ha construido su pasión por la emoción y las atmósferas. Durante su paso por la Escuela de Cine de Praga escribió y dirigió los cortometrajes «13:28» (2017), «The Question» (2018) y «42 Days» (2018), con éxito en festivales de todo el mundo y a través de los que encontró su voz como cineasta. Actualmente trabaja como realizador independiente, rodando videoclips y trabajando en su primer largometraje, «Suru», en colaboración con The Lab. «Forbidden» es su cuarto cortometraje como director.

Born and raised in the heart of cold and dark Finland, Anssi has navigated through different forms of art to find the right medium to manifest his vivid imagination. Having directed over 20 music videos he has crafted his strong visual sense and passion for twisted emotions and atmospheres. While attending Film School in Prague, Czech Republic, he wrote and directed short films “13:28” (2017), “The Question” (2018) and “42 Days” (2018) which have received positive reviews and some success in festivals around the world. Through these short films he found his voice as a narrative filmmaker. Currently working as a freelance filmmaker, Anssi is working on music videos, short films and developing his debut feature film “Suru” in co-operation with The Lab. “Forbidden” is his fourth short film as a director.
