Francesco Cocco (Nuoro, Italia, 21/05/1978) realiza sus estudios en la Irish Film Academy de Dublín y en la Escuela de cine Metrópolis c.e. de Madrid, donde realiza el Grado Superior de Cine y Televisión. Escribe, produce y dirige sus primeros cortometrajes en Irlanda y se traslada a España, donde sigue su actividad como director y profesor de interpretación ante la cámara. Sus cortometrajes logran más de un centenar de selecciones y premios en importantes festivales nacionales e internacionales, incluida la preselección al prestigioso premio David di Donatello de la Academia de Cine Italiano de su cortometraje «Agua y jabón». Actualmente está preparando diferentes proyectos de largometraje y series de televisión entre Italia y España y es profesor de interpretación ante la cámara en la escuela Estudio V de Madrid. «Shakespeare In Smoke» es su quinto cortometraje como director, después de «Agua y jabón» (2018), «Mariquita» (2016), «Llueve» (2015) y «Violeta» (2014).
Francesco Cocco (Nuoro, Italy, 05/21/1978) starts his film education at the Irish Film Academy in Dublin, then he attends the Metropolis c.e. Film School in Madrid. He writes, directs and produces his first short films in Ireland right before moving to Madrid, where he continues working as a film director, scriptwriter and acting for films teacher. His short films have more than a hundred selections and awards in important festivals worldwide, including the pre-selection for the prestigious David Di Donatello award, granted by the Italian Film Academy for his short film “Soap and Water”. He is currently involved in the preparation of different feature film projects and television series between Italy and Spain and he teaches acting for film and television at the Estudio V School (Madrid). “Shakespeare In Smoke” is his fifth short film as a director, after “Soap and Water” (2018), “Ladybug” (2016), “It Rains” (2015) and “Purple” (2014).
