GIOVANNI RUSTANTO (Malang, Indonesia, 01/06/1981) es cineasta con formación en fotografía de moda y gran experiencia en narrativa visual. Ávido fanático de las películas clásicas, tiene gusto particular por el European Art House Cinema, un género que determina su gusto por el cine y la escritura de guiones. Se especializó en Diseño Gráfico en la Universitas Pelita Harapan (Indonesia) y estudió cine en la República Checa y Macedonia para especializarse en guion y dirección. Dos de sus películas como guionista y director, “Maria” (su primer cortometraje) y “Red Ribbon”, han recibido premios y selecciones en festivales de cine europeo. El mediometraje “Lily of the Valley” es su tercer trabajo como director.
GIOVANNI RUSTANTO (Malang, Indonesia, 06/01/1981) is a passionate filmmaker with the background of fashion photographer and an extensive portfolio of visual storytelling. Mostly an avid fan of classic films, he also has a distinctive taste over the genre of European Art House Cinema – a genre which determines his taste in filmmaking and scriptwriting. He first majored in Graphic Design at Universitas Pelita Harapan in Indonesia before embarking over an opportunity to continue his filmmaking studies in the Czech Republic and Macedonia to specialize in Screenwriting and Directing. Two of his films, which he wrote and directed, “Maria” (his first short film) and “Red Ribbon,” have received plenty of nominations in several European film festivals. “Lily of the Valley” is his third work as a director, a drama medium-length film.
