Iago de Soto (Barcelona, España, 11/10/1980). Después de estudiar en la ESCAC, dirige diversos cortometrajes como «Corre» (2002) y «Corre 2» (2003). En 2009 estrena «Versus», su primer largometraje, producido por 24 Mentiras, un thriller de acción independiente que se estrenó en el Festival de Sitges y que tuvo largo recorrido por festivales internacionales. Desde entonces ha dedicado su carrera a la publicidad como realizador, actualmente en exclusiva para Atresmedia). Su corto «La Guarida» (2018), también estrenado en el Festival de Sitges, fue su vuelta a la ficción, con un recorrido de más de 150 selecciones en festivales de todo el mundo, más de 50 premios y la candidatura a los Premios Goya de 2020. «La Luz» es su quinto cortometraje como director.

In 2008 released “Versus”, his first full length feature (produced by 24 Mentiras), an independent thriller premiered at Sitges International Film Festival which had a long haul in festivals around the world. Since then he has been working as advertising director, currently exclusively for Atresmedia. His short film “The Den” (2018), also premiered at Sitges IFF, was his comeback to fiction, with a tour of more than 150 international selections, more than 50 awards and the candidacy for the 2020 Goya Awards. “The Light” is his fifth short film as a director.
